SimpleAI Accident Investigation Calculator |
||
|
SimpleAI is an accident investigation program for the Psion series 5MX palmtop computer. The program will not reconstruct a collision for you, but it will carry out most of the calculations for you. The program is menu driven. Start by inputting all the information that you have, then use the calculation options to calculate the information you do not have - the unknown values. All units are metric Systeme International unless shown otherwise. Speeds may be entered in miles per hour by suffixing the data with an apostrophe, so entering 10 would be taken as 10 ms-1, but 10 mph would be entered as 10' and calculated as 4.47 ms-1. Data is entered on an on-screen form. In many cases, it will be necessary to select which type of calculation you would like to perform. When all the data has been entered to your satisfaction, press the [ENTER] key. [ENTER] will update the selected unknown fields from the known values using the selected calculation, where such options exist. To exit any routine, select or tick the 'done' option to be returned to the main menu. You may exit the program or reset all values from the [Exit] dropdown on the main menu. SimpleAI was written by a Metropolitan Police Traffic Officer and is distributed free to anyone who has a use for it. However, regular users may express their appreciation by making a donation to: The Metropolitan Police Widows and Orphans Fund c/o the Commissioner of Police for the Metropolis, New Scotland Yard, Broadway, London SW1, England. |
