SimpleAI

Accident Investigation Calculator

SimpleAI is written in OPL and will only run on the Psion series 5MX and other EPOC devices.  IT WILL NOT RUN ON A WINDOWS PC.

SimpleAI is designed mainly as an aid to initial calculations or guesstimations during scene investigations, and for occasional witness box questions/calculations, rather  than as a full reconstruction program.  It is supplied free in compiled (.OPO) format subject to the conditions that it is not reverse engineered or decompiled.  Copy it in to the folder of your choice on your Psion's C-drive (RAM) and it should run when opened.

I wrote the program as a bit of fun (I should get more of a life) and it is still being developed, and it is free, so I can't accept any responsibility for any errors or bugs, or indeed any problems at all - it is up to you if you install and run it.  That being said, I have been running it for a couple of years and haven't found any problems, and it is also running on some other 5s and revos with no problems (the slightly smaller screen on the Revo might cause some data to be printed off-screen but this has not been a problem so far.).  If you find anything wrong, please let me know and I will try to sort it out, time/competence allowing.

Instructions for use start at http://www.hazchem.freeuk.com/sai1.htm and a bit of a read and 10 minutes practice should have you up and running.  Let me know if you are having problems working it.

All feedback will be very welcome - I can't finish it without user's opinions and bug testing.  Many thanks.

SimpleAI is distributed free. You may pass it on to anyone who wants it, but it may not be reverse engineered in any way. If it works for you, I urge you to consider making a donation to the Metropolitan Police Widows and Orphans fund on my behalf. Thank you.

Right-click on the download link on the next page and 'save target as' SimpleAI.opo to a folder of your choice, then copy it across to your Psion c-drive using PsiWin.
